Passion, glorified crack

We look for passion in everything without ever thinking about it. When it comes to our jobs we are looking for something we love/ something we're passionate about. With relationships we look for reasons to stay together/ we look for the passion in the relationship. 

The idea of passion and the need to find it in everything we do is reflexive. Without it we feel lost, disheartened and empty. We often find ourselves doing ridiculous, sometimes dangerous things to find this mysterious 'passion'. Our actions are so closely linked to those addicted to crack, it's amazing. 

Even me knowing and seeing this, I can't find myself wanting to break away the need for passion in my work and day to day life.  

No, I won't go so far as to doing crack to find this passion (the idea isn't so far fetched folk have done this) but I damn sure would go through hell and high waters to find it.
